Good News for Southern Pinal County Satellite TV Customers!
My 11 year long effort on Satellite TV Reform for Pinal County is finally really complete!
The TV "Market Area Modification" was approved on 8 April 2024 per the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) "MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER", MB Docket No. 24-28, document DA 24-337.
The next step was for the FCC Order to be implemented by the four Tucson TV stations, DirecTV, and Dish TV.
It took time for the stations to complete the approvals and paperwork and for the satellite TV providers to implement the changes. Thanks to the efforts of another southern Pinal County resident, the changes have been reportedly implemented. Thanks Ed! DirecTV and Dish TV subscribers in southern Pinal County should now be (or soon will be) receiving KGUN-TV, KMSB, KVOA, and KOLD-TV. If you are a customer of DirecTV or Dish TV and are not receiving these Tucson stations, contact your service.
Once again, my thanks go out to the Pinal County Board of Supervisors, the County staff, the County attorneys, and the residents who have supported my efforts over the past 11 years.
