Subject: Google Sky User's Group Launched on Yahoo! Sent: Thursday, August 23, 2007 05:14:28 From: Carlos Aviles (aviles.carlos1@gmail.com) I received this e-mail from Meade last night. I downloaded the program and it looks very interesting, but with my limited knowledge of the night sky I figured I would let the experts review it. I hope all is well with your move to Arizona and that you enjoy your "retirement". It will take me another 10 years to get to that point but already found me a piece of property in the north Georgia mountains where the sky is dark and the pace is slower... Clear Skies, Carlos Aviles Orlando, Florida Dreaming of Sautee-Nacoochee, Georgia ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: news@meade4m.com Date: 22 Aug 2007 21:06:38 -0000 Subject: Google Sky User's Group Launched on Yahoo! Dear 4M Community Members, Earlier this morning, the media announced to the world the launch of Google Sky. Google Sky is a feature of the Google Earth platform and uses the same easy-to-use interface to search and zoom in on stars, planets, and deep sky objects. The high-resolution imagery is supplied by Hubble. Click on an object and Google Sky will produce lots of information about the object. Google Sky is sure to attract the interest of many people who are interested in space and science, and if you are interested in Google Sky, we invite you to join Google Sky on Yahoo at tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/googlesky. I have found myself mesmerized as I scan and zoom in to high resolution imagery. To learn more about and download Google Sky, go to: http://earth.google.com/sky/skyedu.html Let us know what you think about Google Sky and how you are using it to explore the universe. Wishing you clear and steady skies, Scott Scott W. Roberts www.meade4m.comMike here: Thanks. Move still pending; have to sell home in California first.
