Subject: Meade DS2114 to Schmidt camera Sent: Wednesday, November 26, 2008 04:33:21 From: mgavin@ntlworld.com I've converted an acquired Meade DS2114 reflector [below]to an astro-camera by swapping the corrector lens within the focuser with a CCD camera [converting scope from f/9 to a fast f/4] and using a simple 'hole' to admit starlight as a lensless Schmidt camera to good effect. The mount tracks ok for brief exposures co-added on-the-fly for longer exposures. My homepage at www.astroman.fsnet.co.uk/lscmg.htm has details and star pics. regards Maurice Gavin Worcester Kark -UK
