I'm sure we have all seen the balance systems on the market based upon a "T" rail. Well, the same idea works on ETX's. Take the "T" rail and drill 2 holes to match the threaded inserts on the bottom of the tripod mounting block on the unit, mount with two short 1/4-20 bolts [do not over tighten] and poof, 1 balance rail for 1 or 2 dimension balancing with "T" nuts in the rail. I added a small nut and bolt at each end so the weights don't fall off, should they decide to. Hope this is useful to someone. It sure works for me. BTW, fantastic site and fantastic book. Thank you, from the whole bunch of us of amateur astronomers. Wes Cecily & Wes Sr. Trimble Toronto, Ontario
