Counterweight System

I'm sure we have all seen the balance systems on the market based upon a
"T" rail.

Well, the same idea works on ETX's. Take the "T" rail and drill 2 holes
to match the threaded inserts on the bottom of the tripod mounting block
on the unit, mount with two short 1/4-20 bolts [do not over tighten] and
poof, 1 balance rail for 1 or 2 dimension balancing with "T" nuts in the
rail.

I added a small nut and bolt at each end so the weights don't fall off,
should they decide to.

Hope this is useful to someone. It sure works for me. BTW, fantastic
site and fantastic book. Thank you, from the whole bunch of us  of
amateur astronomers.
