Subject: ETX 80 and Autostar. Sent: Thursday, June 22, 2006 15:58:00 From: Mike Stoer (mikel_s@verizon.net) This would actually be more for Dick than you. I was wondering (hoping) if the ETX80 could be added to the autostar (like the 4504 is) for use with the DSI/LPI software. If so and you need any data from the ETX80 let me know. I'll be glad to help if I can). MikeMike here: Yes, you can use the Autostar #497 (which is the one that the Autostar Suite software requires) with the ETX-80. I would suspect that a current version of the ROM would recognize the ETX-80 when connected.

From: richard seymour (rseymour@wolfenet.com) The attached patch kit doesn't add the model -name- (you can use the ETX90 or the ETX70), but it -will- add a necessary delay during the boot-up cycle so that the Autostar will properly use the built-in clock. Meade -has- stated that the ETX80 will be in the next 497 firmware update. have fun --dick
