10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION & FIFTH MIGHTY ETX STAR PARTY Last updated: 21 November 2006

In conjunction with "Meade Day" at Oceanside Photo and Telescope (OPT), the 10th Anniversary (September 1996 to September 2006) of "Weasner's Mighty ETX Site" and the "5th Mighty ETX Star Party" was held on 18 November 2006.

Meade had a repair station set up:

William Optics, Meade Instruments, and Tele Vue had booths:

Meade had complimentary copies of their beautiful new catalog:

I set up for solar observing demonstrations with my PST piggybacked on my original (1996) ETX (now known as the ETX-90RA):

During the day I gave a talk and then Scott Roberts gave a talk on imaging with the DSI line.

After that were door prizes (lots) and then a BIG surprise. OPT presented me with this beautiful trophy:
