VAFB Minuteman III Contrail

Here are some photos of a Minuteman III launch from Vandenberg AFB, CA shortly after sunset on Thursday, 19 September 2002. I missed the actual launch but the contrail was really neat! You can see it change due to the upper level winds. The photos were taken with a tripod-mounted Nikon Coolpix 995 with an automatic 1 second exposure @ ISO 400 over a period of 8 minutes. The first photo is a normal view and the remaining three are zoomed shots to show more contrail details.
