The following photos of the Christmas Day 2000 Partial Solar Eclipse were taken from near my home south of Los Angeles, California, USA. At maximum eclipse at my location the Moon covered 15% of the Sun's diameter and 7% of the Sun's area. Times of the shots are approximate. Some sunspots are also visible. Equipment used was the following:

Thousand Oaks Solar II Type 2 Plus solar filter
Scopetronix 40mm eyepiece
Shutan Wide Field Adapter
Ricoh RDC-4200 digital camera at 3x telephoto
