Subject:	ETX105EC Internal Photos...

The internals of the arms are cast alloy which has been machined in
critical areas. Unfortunately some of the "swarf" has been left floating
around which ends up being mixed in with the grease that has been
copiouslly spread over the drive gears...cleaned all the "friction"
surfaces and excess grease and made sure there wasn't any rubbish in the
gear train.

Checked screws the whole RA drive assembly PCB and gear train was loose
- its mounted on o-rings but the screws were hanging out. I am tempted
to give it a "proper" service sometime soon.

The other change which I didn't photograph were there are now two
locating tabs on each side of the OTA and thesed are just about
imposible to get back into the corresponding slots on the brackets...I
carefully introduced a taper lead in on both the pegs and slots and this
made re-assembly a lot easier.. The tabs need to go into the slots at
about the same time that the OTA mounting screw holes need to be prised
into place and the misalignment that this introduces meant that the tabs
wouldn't slide in easily.

Regards,

Peter
