Subject: Tripod Sent: Tuesday, August 20, 2002 11:05:38 From: alexduerloo@hotmail.com (Alexander Duerloo) Maybe this self-invented tripod could appear on your site? please tell me what you think about it. Here's a tripod i invented and built myself. actually it's nor really a tripod but still. first, i removed a leg from the tripod of my first telescope.then I screwed it on to the bottomside of my ETX90 RA with my high-latitude leg (at shortest length). then I attached the US latitude leg on the side of the telescope. the tripod is very stable and works fine. for me it's much better than the usual tripod. This tripod is easy to set-up and transport. because it's higher it's more easy to view without getting a stiff neck. The two alu-legs of the two-pod are 14.17 inches tall (36 centimeters). but still the telescope needs to be placed on a table. I'll still be upgrading this home-invented technique and see what I can do with it. Alexander Duerloo
