As a continuation of a work trip to Arizona I decided to spend a couple of days at Oracle Observatory. The intial weather forecast had been good but things changed as the date of my visit approached. I took my ETX-90RA and my new Nikon D70 DSLR with the intention of doing some piggyback astrophotography. But as you can see from these sunset photos from the 26th, the weather definitely didn't cooperate.

The 27th was not better, in fact, it was worse. I didn't even leave the hotel to drive out to Oracle as there was a cloudburst in the late afternoon!

The next trip is tentatively planned for 11 June. Stay tuned...
