Total Solar Eclipse Trip

In August 2017, we did a road trip with stops in Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. The main purpose of the trip was to view the Total Solar Eclipse on 21 August. To and from the Eclipse, we visited the National Butterfly Center and Quinta Mazatlán in McAllen, TX; Space Center Houston, Houston Zoo, some friends in Houston (before Hurricane Harvey hit Houston); US Space & Rocket Center and the Von Braun Astronomical Society and observatory in Huntsville, AL; some sights around Nashville, TN; the Total Solar Eclipse in Hopkinsville, KY; friends in Yukon, OK; and the Bubonicon science fiction convention in Albuquerque, NM.
