It has taken 10 years to get to this point. In 2013, I began trying to get Congress to fix the flawed, dangerous, and unfair "Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act" (STELA) legislation that it created. I also attempted to get the FCC to modify the TV "Designated Market Area" (DMA) for southern Pinal County. Unfortunately, Congress could not fix what it created and the FCC could not change the DMA without a change in the Federal law. In 2015, I began working with Pinal County to get a petition to the FCC prepared and submitted.

Thanks to everyone who contacted the County Supervisors over the years in support of this Petition. Many thanks to the Pinal County Board of Supervisors, staff, and attorneys for preparing and approving this Petition.

Once the Petition is received by the FCC we will have to wait for the agency to follow their normal "Market Area Modification" processes, which could take a long time.
