Video from Cassiopeia Observatory
Last updated: 9 May 2011
This video was taken 8 May 2011 using a Nikon D7000 DSLR on a 8" LX200-ACF. The video runs 5 minutes and 12 seconds, showing the International Space Station for the beginning of the pass to the end of the pass. The ISS image quality is not very good but the video shows what is involved in keeping the ISS in the field-of-view at the telescope, even with the tracking assistance of the AutoStar II software. There is music in the background from an Apple iPod inside my SkyShed POD observatory. You will also hear sounds from the telescope slewing as well as an occasional gust of wind.
