Hi group Sorry I have not been on lately. Anyway here is my first try
at Mars this year. Its still a long way out there, but if you are up
around 5:00 am. You will see it almost due south right around 40
degree's. Its very bright and yes very red, also you can tell its a
planet because it does not twinkle like a star.

This photo was taken with a etx 125 and a sac 7 ccd. Its an avi of
60sec at 1/25 0f a sec. processed using registax and cleaded up useing
adobe 6.0 thanks Paul.

Mars

November will be the month that this planet gives us all he has to
offer. If any one needs help locating Mars let me know. As Mars gets
closer my photos will get better later Paul.
And:
here is my second attempt at Mars. This photo was taken using a Meade
etx 125 and a Sac 7 ccd camera at prime focus. This is a finished photo
of an avi of 60sec. right round 1,800 frames. at 1/15 of a sec. The
avi was processed in registax 3 and the finished photo was cleaned up
using adobe 6.0 hope you enjoy. Paul

I have had a hard time getting my new SAC IV-B working with my iBook G4,
and I cam across the program Macam. The website for this program is
http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/ . The only version that I found that
works with OS X 10.3 and the SAC IV-B is the latest one, .8.1b1. This
enables those of us with OS X 10.3 and the SAC IV-B to capture video
files for later processing.
