I purchased a second hand ETX 125 two weeks ago and it is obviously
about a 2004 model.

Because my Laptop is now Windows 7 based a lot of updating and
downloading was needed. After installing all the updates from the Meade
website the Autostar suite still could not see the the Autostar handset.
which then lead me to hours of cable checking un-installing,
reinstalling.

After three days of frustrating trouble shooting, i eventually found
that the Prolific usb to serial driver that has been posted on the Meade
Website is out of date and anyone having this problem should rather use
this one.
