I was able to attend OPT's Southern California Astronomy Expo (SCAE) on 14 July 2012 at their Oceanside, California, facility. It was great seeing old friends and making new ones. Several of the attendees and exhibiters recognized me, and we had good chats about astronomy and telescopes. Unfortunately the sky was totally overcast with thick clouds, so there was no viewing of the sun through the several solar telescopes that were set up. But that did not dampen the enthusiasm of the attendees. The following are some photographs that I took during the day long Expo.
