I have noticed a few fixes for leg adjustment slippage for the 884
tripod. Mine too started slipping even when the levers were as tight as
they would go.

I noticed that the knobs were "bottoming out" against the outer
adjustment shell and the screws weren't going in far enough to make the
lock work correctly.

On my 884 the screws are 8mm screws I replaced them with longer ones and
no more. slipping.
