Slewed to M38 (open cluster), my next Messier catalog imaging target. Began preparing for 8" prime focus imaging using the D7000 DSLR. Did a focus test on the star Capella using the Bahtinov Mask. This is M38, 30 seconds (unguided), ISO 640:

Then powered on the GC Wi-Fi Adapter and used SkySafari Pro on the iPhone to GOTO Asteroid 6 Hebe. Did some 30 second (unguided) exposures. Will take a second image Saturday night to check movement in 24 hours.

2355 MST: viewed Asteroid 6 Hebe, 83X. At least, I think I did. I did star comparisons using SkySafari Pro.

0000 MST: viewed M1 (Crab Nebula), 83X. Some structure visible.

Lastly, did some sky quality measurements. Got 21.01 with the SQM-L meter. Still not as dark as normal; still have relatively high humidity.
