More New Accessories Testing, iPhone 5s Full Moon

Posted: 7 November 2014

Temperature: 64°F
Session: 742
Conditions: Clear, breezy

1814 MST: viewed Mars, 83X. The Full Moon was about to rise over the hill to the east.

Began final tests of the Baader 8-24mm Zoom Eyepiece. I hope to have the product review online later today.

Also did some more tests of the William Optics Binoviewers. I still have some more tests that I want to do before posting my review.

1857 MST: it was getting downright windy.

1910 MST: having completed the tests for this night, I took a final look at the moon, 83X. Seeing was pretty bad due to the moon's low altitude in the sky and the wind. A very slight terminator was visible as the moon was about 3 hours past the Full phase. Took this handheld afocal photo with an iPhone 5s at 83X:
