iPhone Starlinks and Venus on Dome,
Herschel 400 Galaxies Observing

1931 MST: LX600 ON, StarLock OFF, High Precision OFF.

Viewed Venus, 102X.

1935-2010 MST: Relaxed on the observatory patio bench while waiting for the sky to get darker.

2006 MST: Saw several SpaceX Starlink satellites crossing the Big Dipper. Took this iPhone 13 Pro Max photo using the Camera app (Night Mode, 10 seconds, 1X lens). It shows 9 satellites.

2011 MST: Venus was visible projected onto the observatory dome, 102X. Took this iPhone 13 Pro Max photo using the Camera app (Night Mode, 3 seconds, 1X lens) showing Venus on the Dome and some stars in the sky.

2015 MST: High Precision ON.

2016 MST: Began observing Herschel 400 galaxies, 102X: NGC3034 (M82, Cigar Galaxy), NGC3077, NGC3079, NGC3115 (Spindle Galaxy), NGC3147, NGC3166 and NGC3169 (same field-of-view), NGC3184, NGC3190 and NGC3193 (same FOV), NGC3198, NGC3226 and NGC3227 (same FOV), NGC3245, NGC3277, NGC3294, NGC3310, NGC3344, NGC3377, NGC3379 (M105) and NGC3384 (same FOV), NGC3395, NGC3412, NGC3414, NGC3432, NGC3486, and NGC3489. I also observed NGC3242 (Ghost of Jupiter, plantary nebula), also on the Herschel 400 list. Observed 27 galaxies and one planetary nebula this session, for a total of 208 Herschel 400 objects observed since I started the project in October 2022.

2123 MST: LX600 OFF.

2129 MST: Took a Sky Quality reading.
