Visitor, iPhone Venus, Moon
Posted: 28 June 2023
Monday mid-day, 26 June 2023, I checked on the air conditioner hot air duct repair that I did the previous day (seen below).
As I noted in the previous report, the hose plastic has become brittle with age (installed in 2017), and unfortunately, another break had appeared in less than a day.
I did another temporary fix, but I will probably need to replace the hose sometime this summer.
Due to the cloudy and very hazy sky, I did not open the observatory that night.

1918 MST: Back inside the observatory. There were still some wind gusts.
Viewed Venus, 163X + ADC. Took this handheld iPhone 13 Pro Max image of Venus, afocal 163X + ADC, using NightCap Camera (ISO 40, 1/10000sec, 1X lens).
Viewed the Moon, 102X, in the bright blue sky. Took this handheld iPhone afocal 102X image of the Moon using NightCap Camera (ISO 34, 1/400sec, 1X lens).

Switched to the 2" 14mm 100° eyepiece and viewed the Moon, 174X. This wider field-of-view provided almost the same magnification as the 1.25" 15mm eyepiece (163X). I took these handheld iPhone afocal 174X images of the Moon using NightCap Camera (ISO 34, 1/210sec and 1/430sec, respectively, 1X lens).
Took a last look at the Moon, 102X.
