Upon arrival at the observatory I discovered that a brief late afternoon electric utility power glitch in Oracle had caused the GFCI in the observatory to trip. That caused the air conditioner to stop running, hence the warmer than usual temperature inside the observatory during our current Excessive Heat Warning. I reset the GFCI to restore power in the observatory. For those who do not know, our electric company is run by the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs.

1829 MST: LX600 ON, StarLock OFF, High Precision OFF.

Viewed the waxing Moon, 102X.

I prepared the D850 DSLR for imaging and mounted it at prime focus of the 12" telescope.

Our Moon in the bright blue sky (1/250sec, ISO 200).

1845 MST: I then relaxed on the observatory patio bench.

1935 MST: Sunset. I went back inside the observatory.

Took this D850 DSLR prime focus image of the Moon (1/320sec, ISO 200).

Mounted the D850 DSLR at prime focus + 2X Powermate. Took these images (1/250sec, 1/320sec, 1/250sec, ISO 800).
