I am looking for an adaptor to put my Nikon CoolPIX990 onto my Meade ETX90EC.
I've looked around and am having difficulty finding the correct adaptor.
I don't want to order the incorrect one and have to go through the
hassle of returning it (not to mention the cost).
Can you recommend one?

Nikon Coolpix990 Lens spec:
3x Zoom-Nikkor, 8-24mm (35mm [135] format equivalent to 38-115mm);
digital zoom up to 4x

If you can help that would be great!
I've had this Meade ETX90EC for some years and love it and would love to
be able to connect my Nikon.

Mike here: When I had a Coolpix 995, I used the "Digi-T" adapter. It worked great. However, the company that offered it back then is no longer in business. You may be able to find something similar. Or you can use one of the "universal adapters" which hold the camera lens over the eyepiece by using the tripod mounting hole. One such adapter is the Orion SteadyPix Universal Camera Adapter. These will work with lightweight cameras. I reviewed a similar one (no longer available).
