Visitors, iPhone Venus, Moon on Dome

Wednesday, 31 May 2023, was cloudy (unforecasted) and windy. Thursday, 1 June, was cloudy (forecasted). The sky was clear (forecasted) on Friday, 2 June.

Equipment:
12" f/8 LX600 w/StarLock
2" 24mm UWA eyepiece
2" 5.5mm 100° eyepiece
2" 30mm eyepiece

Camera:
iPhone 13 Pro Max

1816 MST: LX600 ON, StarLock OFF, High Precision OFF.

Viewed Venus, 102X and 443X.

1822 MST: Relaxed on the observatory patio bench while waiting for the Moon to rise.

Two neighbors came to visit.

1926 MST: Back inside the observatory. Viewed Venus again, 443X.

1928 MST: The nearly full Moon was rising over the hill to the southeast.

1929 MST: Sunset. Calm now.

1929 MST: Took this iPhone 13 Pro Max photo of the Moon rising over the hill using the Camera app (3X lens).

I then took this handheld iPhone afocal 443X image of Venus using the NightCap Camera (ISO 200, 1/1500sec, 1X lens).

1940 MST: Viewed the Moon through tree limbs, 102X. A very slight terminator was visible about one day before Full phase.

1941 MST: Relaxed some more on the bench while waiting for the Moon to clear the tree.

2000 MST: Back inside the observatory. The Moon had cleared the tree. Viewed the Moon, 102X and 81X.

Took this handheld iPhone afocal 81X image of the Moon using NightCap Camera (ISO 40, 1/10000sec, 1X lens).

I then took these handheld Moon on Dome photos with the iPhone using the Camera app (Night Mode, 3 seconds, 1X lens). The star Vega is visible to the right of the dome on the second photo.
