When I entered the observatory I saw that my air conditioner hot air duct repair had failed again. I re-taped the duct.
1844 MST: The wind had calmed down somewhat.
1845 MST: LX600 ON, StarLock OFF, High Precision OFF.
Viewed Venus, 102X and 443X. The planet was a nice view in the bright blue sky, as seen in this handheld iPhone 13 Pro Max afocal 443X image taken with NightCap Camera (ISO 34, 1/10000sec, 1X lens).
1851 MST: Relaxed on the observatory patio bench. Took this iPhone 13 Pro Max photo of the waxing gibbous Moon above some trees.
1933 MST: Moved to higher ground to photograph the setting Sun.
1936 MST: Setting Sun with sunspot AR3354. Taken with the D850 DSLR (f/16, 1/1600sec, ISO 100, FL 600mm, cropped, handheld).
1939 MST: Sunset.
1941 MST: The waxing gibbous Moon. Taken with the D850 DSLR (f/11, 1/1250sec, ISO 400, FL 600mm, cropped to the same scale as the setting Sun photo, handheld).
1943 MST: Back at the 12" telescope. Calm now. Viewed Venus, 443X and 102X.
Then viewed the Moon, 102X. Took this handheld iPhone 13 Pro Max afocal 102X image of the Moon using NightCap Camera (ISO 34, 1/1000sec, 1X lens).
Did some lunar observing, 443X. Took this handheld iPhone afocal 443X image of the crater Copernicus using NightCap Camera (ISO 34, 1/350sec, 1X lens).
Did some more lunar observing, 443X and 102X.
