1820 MST: LX600 ON, StarLock OFF, High Precision OFF.
Viewed the Moon, 102X, 94X, and 81X.
1826 MST: Relaxed on the observatory patio bench.
1931 MST: Took these iPhone 15 Pro Max photographs (cropped) of the setting Sun using the Camera app (5X lens).
1936 MST: Sunset. Calm now. Returned to the observatory.
Did some lunar observing, 81X, 443X, and 1773X. Some nice sights. The view at 1773X was not very good as that was well above the theoretical maximum magnifaction of 610X for the 12" telescope.
Attached the LiDAR Cover on the iPhone and mounted the iPhone on the 30mm eyepiece using the 3-axis adapter. Took this image using the Camera app (1X lens).
I then mounted the iPhone on the 2" 5.5mm 100° eyepiece and took these afocal 443X images of the Moon.
