Some ETX users have sent me examples of their astrophotography. If you have some examples you would like included here please send me a description of how you made the astrophotos and a copy of the images as GIF or JPEG files (due to internet email gateway issues, please send only one image file per message). Send to etx@me.com. Alternatively, if you have created your own web page with your examples please let me know and I'll include a link to your site.

Here are some snapshots of last night Lunar eclipse. Due to it rising eclipsed into total cloud cover I didn't get to see it until later when the weather cleared. After it was over I imaged the Full Moon in case it can be used for any heating or luminescence studies after the eclipse. I will process that and send you. For these shots I just hand held the camera to the ETX-90 32mm eyepiece. Some exposures were 3 seconds, which is difficult to hold steady for that length of time. The eclipsed portion of the Moon was quite orange. |
