Some ETX users have sent me examples of their astrophotography. If you have some examples you would like included here please send me a description of how you made the astrophotos and a copy of the images as GIF or JPEG files (due to internet email gateway issues, please send only one image file per message). Send to etx@me.com. Alternatively, if you have created your own web page with your examples please let me know and I'll include a link to your site.

please find attached an image of the Scutum Star Cloud we shot last summer with a modified EOS 350 (50mm@5.6) piggybacked on an ETX-70. The image is a stack of 9 exposures, 8 minutes each.
By using an LPS-P2 light pollution filter from Hutech we were able to capture this stunning Milky Way region just outside Vienna, Austria, which is a 2-million capital and severly plagued by light-pollution.
For those interested, the LPS-P2 filter is featured on our tests&tools page http://project-nightflight.net/tests.html

Photo was taken in the Anza Borrego desert in Little Blair valley on 12/30/09 at 7:45PM. In the distance there were storm clouds I had noticed before the sun had set. Once the moon came up, I could barley see what appeared to be a gray arc in the sky. Using peripheral vision, it appeared to be a rainbow being caused by the moon light. The moon was at about 98% full that night so I took a picture to confirm my suspicion that there was in fact a rainbow being created by the moon light. The brightest "star" is actually Jupiter. I took this photo with a Canon 40D and no tripod.
